Rabbit is another of A.A. Milne's original characters in
his books. Making his screen debut with Disney in
1966 in "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree", Rabbit is
also one of Pooh's friends in the Hundred Acre Woods.
Like
owl and gopher, Rabbit is a living animal, as he
illustrates in one the stories to Owl when he says, "You
and I have brains. The others have fluff."
Rabbit is very responsible and doesn't have time for
nonsense. He loves gardening and will do anything
he can to protect his prize garden. Rabbit hates
being bounced by Tigger, and he doesn't like sharing his
honey with Pooh.
Although Owl is supposedly the wisest in the Hundred
Acre Woods, Rabbit would like to think that he truly is
the wisest. But underneath his stubborn, pushy
manner, Rabbit has a good heart.
