Our story begins in the Arabian desert where our villain, Jafar has just found the Cave of Wonders. For years, he's searched for this cave wherein lies the magic lamp. Back at the palace of Agrabah, Princess Jasmine lounges in the garden with her pet tiger, Rajah; while her father, the Sultan, pleads with her to go easy on her suitors. After all, their law says she must marry by her next birthday, which is only three days away.
Feeling trapped inside the palace, Jasmine decides to disguise herself and visit the marketplace. There she meets a young man by the name of Aladdin. He and his pet monkey, Abu live in the marketplace. While Jasmine is there, the palace guards arrest Aladdin. When Jasmine arrives back at the palace, she demands that Jafar release Aladdin, but Jafar lies to her and tells her that Aladdin has already been put to death. However, Aladdin is not dead. Jafar needs Aladdin to get the magic lamp for him. So, Jafar disguises himself as an old man and leads Aladdin out of the palace prison to the Cave of Wonders. There he convinces Aladdin to go inside and get the lamp for him. Aladdin and Abu are told to touch nothing but the lamp.
While inside the cave, they meet a new friend, a magic carpet. Aladdin finds the lamp, but Abu puts them in danger when he touches a large ruby. Tricked by the old man, Aladdin and his friends are trapped inside the cave. Abu had a few tricks up his sleeve, though, and he stole the lamp back from the old man. Aladdin sees writing on the lamp and rubs it in order to see the words better. Much to his surprise, a large, friendly Genie appears and tells Aladdin that he has three wishes. Aladdin asks the Genie what he would wish for. He tells Aladdin he would wish to be set free. Aladdin promises Genie that he will make that his third wish.
For his first wish, Aladdin wishes to be a Prince so he can marry Jasmine. He becomes Prince Ali, and Abu becomes his royal elephant. They return to Agrabah where Aladdin asks to marry Jasmine. This makes the Sultan happy because Jafar has just announced that should Jasmine not find a suitable husband, that by law, she would have to marry him. Jasmine overhears her father and Aladdin talking about her, and she refuses to see him. She doesn't realize that it's Aladdin; she thinks he's just another stuffy suitor. With Carpet's help, Aladdin floats up to Jasmine's balcony. Aladdin takes Jasmine on a magic carpet ride, where he serenades her with a beautiful song. On the way back to the palace, Jasmine realizes he's Aladdin. They end their night with a kiss.
After telling Jasmine goodnight, Aladdin and his friends are captured by Jafar's guards. They knock him out and throw him into the sea. He's unable to reach his lamp, but when he passes out again, the lamp sweeps closer and touches his hands. Genie must take this as Aladdin's second wish, and he rescues him from the sea. Genie takes Aladdin back to Agrabah where he tells the Sultan what Jafar tried to do. When the Sultan orders Jafar's arrest, Jafar disappears.
Aladdin tells Genie that he won't be able to wish him free because he must remain a Prince for Jasmine. Genie returns to his lamp in anger. Iago sneaks into Aladdin's room and steals the lamp. Once Jafar has the lamp, he commands Genie to make him Sultan. His second wish is for Genie to make him a powerful sorcerer. Jafar makes Genie send Aladdin, Abu, and Carpet faraway; however, they manage to get back to Agrabah. Aladdin finds the Sultan being humiliated by Jafar, and Jasmine as his slave. Aladdin and his friends try to get the lamp from Jafar, but he is too powerful. Jafar turns himself into a giant Cobra and tries to destroy Aladdin.
Aladdin began to taunt Jafar by telling him that he was not the most powerful. He told him that the Genie was still more powerful than he was. So Jafar commanded Genie to turn him into a powerful Genie, himself. Aladdin tricks Jafar into being a Genie because he then picks up Jafar's new lamp, and Jafar and Iago are sucked into the lamp. Genie then takes the lamp and throws it into the Cave of Wonders.
And...for Aladdin's third wish, he gave up being a Prince, and he freed his friend, the Genie. And...because he is the Sultan, Jasmine's father changed the law and gave Jasmine the choice of choosing her own husband. She chose Aladdin. And...they lived happily ever after!
The End!
